I too love knotwork designs. I use them in my calligraphy whenever I can. Honestly, having looked at the linked thread, I prefer your design to the originals (in my humble opinion). Looking forward to seeing the project compleated.

I did too, at first. I've spent a lot of time looking over the original, and the more I look, the more I see in it! Man!! I will never reach that level of mastery! Not in this lifetime, anyway. Maybe in the next, or the one after that. It truely is a thing of beauty.
With that being said- thank you for your compliment! I do appreciate the feedback. The Book of Kells has always been a big inspiration to me. I'd love to see some photos of your calligraphy. I love illuminated text.

Incredible stuff! Are you actually going to use this in your demonstrations? It takes nuggets to do that in the first place never mind putting all that work into it then letting someone take a long sword to it. LoL

I have 2 words to answer that question- HELL and NO!!
So here's where it's at right now- mounted on the wood backing, dyed, antiqued, and drying.

I've never heard of "chocolate covered honey combs."
Sounds good though.
Sorry to go OT for a moment Nighthawk but Ted, have you never heard of a Violet Crumble or a Crunchie bar

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the conversation. I was thinking of a piece of wax honeycomb from a bee hive that had been dipped in chocolate. I have squares of honeycomb that I have been slowly using, and saving the wax. No chocolate coating, but that was what I was thinking of.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

They're freeze dried, and then coated in chocolate.
