Excellent job, well done! Can't wait to see pics in action.

ChattanCat, those differences are only between the products of different weavers. The clan tartan is the same in both instances (allowing, as X-Man mentioned, for the different shades).
X-Man, I can’t wait to see what you do with those fabrics!

Brilliant work, X-Man! Sorry to hear about your cut thumb.
I know how long that can take to heal. Hope it doesn’t hold you up too much.

Mike

forefinger actually and it still stings like a bigger whenever I tap it, but it appears to be bonding well so far.
I'll start back with some smaller odds and ends first and see how it copes with that before tackling a kilt.

Tartan flashes were requested. No sewing (so far although I may try and tidy them up a little and that may or may not include some stitching) so the forefinger has been spared so far.

You get tartan flashes and you get tartan flashes. I like these because they are uniform with each other, and show a saltire above some red patterning.

Mike

Yes, I concur: well placed on the pattern. Love the disapearing sporran loops also. Great work overall.

Three weeks on and the finger is healing well.
I'm behind schedule by about a week, but I should still get done on time.
Basting pleats now and I thought I'd offer up this little tease.
