Hmmmmm let's see.... Either mow the lawn or get sheep... My luck I get the pooper scooper duty...and with a yard that size... It will take some time to cover it all..

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Ancient Old World saying:
A lawnmower is incapable of affection, cannot keep you warm in your tent, and doesn't taste very good with flatbread and chickpeas.

My, my, but property values in that part of Scotland have skyrocketed in the past 25 years or so-- when my wife and I looked at Ackergil it was something in the region of GBP 100,000. The damp was appalling, I don't think it had been lived in for half a dozen years, and I doubt it had been heated since before the war-- The Great War. The interiors were fabulous, as was/is the neighbour-- who lives just down the way in the Castle of Mey.
Midmar Castle, which is also for sale (at about GBP 3.5 million) is by far the better property.

We could open up a Tilted Kilt franchise to help pay the heating.

Jock, as long as you've got a patch of heather for me to lie upon, & I have my old sail cloth, I'll be a happy camper.....oh, and I like my coffee strong & black!

The only issue with closets would be if Hamish were to vist often---we would probably have to put a restriction on the number of kilts he could bring---say 25 or less at any trip.
Would the kitchen serve haggis every evening or might we have a chance to taste some of the results of Jocks fine fowl and trout outings?
