I'm reminded of the Country song "Just Prop Me Up Against The Juke Box If I Die" I can't for the life of me remember the artist, but I love the idea. Just make sure I'm kilted.

I think that was by Joe Diffie. We used to play that all the time when I worked with a CW bar band; it's a fun song.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

My father was going to be cermated with his kilt, but the family... "I" said no and his kilt was passed on. I have so many kilts to pass on I will be layed to rest in one of mine. I just havent made up my mind whitch one. I think I'll go with the Great Kilt, I think it will be the biggest pain in the butt to roll me into and fix.

I have donated my body to the Md State Anatomy Board for educational use. After a year, they return the ashes to my family. I'm not going to be in it. Someone should get some use out of the remains.

Thank you Ted. You're right it was Joe Diffie. Still a great song.

I ran into a young woman who used to work for me in the store today. I commented on the lovely silver pendant she was wearing and she told me that some of her grandmother's ashes were in it. She was wearing a compass rose on the chain as well and she explained that it was so Judy could keep her pointed in the right direction.

Perhaps not exactly on point for this discussion, but it impressed me as a lovely way to remember someone you love. The girl, her mother and her grandmother have all been friends of mine and I was pleased to see this.

    Regards,

    brian
