A Voluntary Jones Extension
I've been eagerly awaiting the completion of my 16-oz. Isle of Skye tank from Barb T. She sent me a message yesterday that caused me to VOLUNTARILY, for the good off the kilted community agree to delay shipping.
Barb wrote "It is a truly spectacular kilt. I've never made one like it before, pleated to the stripe, but no "stripe" in the pleats. It is so unusual (and goodlooking!) that I want to show it as an option in the book." OMG, I can't wait, but I must!
The delay is for her to find a model it fits to take some picures for her book update. So, you're all welcome in advance. Pics when I get it, but Phil Corlis alread posted some last spring of his.
Fortunately, my wife surprized me over the weekend with a UK Mocker for my birthday, so I have a hair of the dog, so to speak.

Why not have her send it immediately and let YOU be the model? We know it fits.

I expect it to look like this, more or less.

That's a very nice tartan! I know you'll enjoy wearing . . . when it does finally come . . . after the delay . . . and you've waited patiently . . . for days . . .

Wow. I REALLY want an Isle of Skye.
If I'd ordered one weeks ago it would be on it's way by now. (Or at least on it's way to being famous.)

Good question!! It's because I need the same kind of background for the photo that I used for the other kilt photos in the book.

I'm not sure if this will make you feel any better or not but....
Barb Ts' work is artistry in cloth... Borg perfection.
If there was ever anything worth jonesing for.... this would be it!
Enjoy the jones while it lasts!

I believe you, Blu. I have actually been quietly enjoying the anticipation, planning outfits and accessories, converting jackets and making that skunk sporran... you know, keeping my mind off of it.
AS IF!
