A funny thing happened on the way to the store
I needed to get some shoes for the 6 month old grand boy so we went shopping. I'm in my SWK Ancient Lamont (it was 24 degress F) and he's dressed in his usual fleece suit and car seat carrier). Now, I've shopped many times kilted before and sometimes children, in particular, say to their parents "Why is that man wearing a dress / skirt?" If the parent seems open to some information, I explain the kilt to the child and usually that pretty cool.
When I was walking from the car to the store, I was carrying Donovan in his carrier and passed a young family. Dad, Mom, ~10 yr old girl and ~8 year old boy. Just as we passed, I noticed the parents looking suspicious and the girl looking intently at my legs. I was getting ready for the "comment" when I heard her say to her mom, "Mommy, did you see how cute that little baby was!"
Kilted at the Kittery Outlet Stores (Maine) and was just another day in the life.

She focused her attention on a baby instead of a man in a kilt...something must be wrong with her!

Something right with her, she's not her parents. Great to hear ScottinNH.

It is amazing to me how normal the kilt is becoming, I can't wait until it is no longer even considered eccentric for men to wear kilts, we will have a whole kilted population.
