Looking for inexpensive Kilts in New York City
Hey guys,
I used to post years ago on the old TomsCafe boards and even before that in the days of Fashion.Uk, and Roger Lewau's Skirt Lovers Nest, but i digress.
I'm in New York for the next few weeks and I left my black kilt I bought at Hot Topic at home (mistake!) But I was wondering if anyone knew a place in New York where I might find a fairly reasonably priced Kilt, doesn't need to be traditional. Having it shipped is not an option.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
~Rye

What size are you? I have a few we keep for wedding emergencies so I might be able to sell or rent you one.

I wear a 36 in pants usually. If yours are the kind usually rented for weddings, they're probably a little out of my price range. Looking more for one to just sort of goof around the city in, nothing too formal.

Go to Hot Topic, they're in NY. So is Tripp, the people that made the kilt for Hot Topic! They have two, the black and a bright Green plaid one!

Can't you just go down to the Garment District and see what "fell off the back of a truck?"
My other favorite NYC-area quote that's somewhat applicable: "Nobody pays retail any more, why should you?"
Enjoy your time in The City - and good hunting on your kilt quest!

The ones I have are for weddings, so they are traditional.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, the only hot topics i could find listed are a little far away from me. Ended up finding a skirt at H&M that suited my needs, looked like the casual kilts available around the net, but I also know that's not the focus of this particular board so I won't go anymore into that.
