    A kilted sunday hike....

...IS ALWAYS A GREAT WAY TO WRAP UP A DAY. TOOK MY SON, GIRL-CHILD AND OF COURSE, MY GREAT DANE. IT WAS A GOOD CHANCE TO CRUISE ABOUT IN MY NEW SWK WOOL GREEN "SHADOW" TARTAN. A LITTLE WARN IN THE TEXAS HEAT, BUT ALL IN ALL, A FINE KILT....

AND YES, BECAUSE I HAD SEVERAL REQUESTS TO ALSO SEE SADIE (MY DANE), I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET HER AND MY SON TO SIT STILL FOR 10 SECONDS....IT'S KIND OF LIKE CATCHING WIND IN A ZIPLOCK BAG

If I could find one small enough for him I would. He's a little guy unlike his big sister who shot up from the day she was born. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find a little kids kilt I would be thankful. I'd be even more greatful to find one in my tartan (Gordon)....

I just noticed that, so I went ahead and ordered him a Gordon (along with a couple of kilt hangers for myself). It's still gonna be a few months before I can get it on him unless I can convince his mother (my wife ) to maybe sew and extra velcro strip inside the waistband. I'm sure it wouldn't take too much convincing....

    Andy,
At some time the young lad will go into super growth mode. For the stillwater child size kilt, go to your hardware store and get a small piece of industrial hook and loop. (A.K.A. Velcro) It has a mean adhesive that works with cloth. It will last as many washings as it takes for the wee one to grow. My neighbour has two bairn that are growing like they are on high test fertilizer. I have been helping with the sewing and the Velcro adjustable clothing system. they are only fourteen months apart. The Velcro makes it easy to adjust the hand down clothes.
