Budget Jackets?
Does anyone know where I can get myself a reasonable quality prince charlie on a budget? I can't really afford to pay £150-£200
On a plus sidem I'm ordering my kilt tonight and it should be with me in just under 4 weeks

USA Kilts is running a big sale now did you check with them to see if they had anything along the lines you thinking of? or one of our other vendors!
And last line of check::::::::E-Bay..You might be able to fine one from one of those foreign countries that make highland wear cheap!

I might see if I can get my parents to chip in a little and get one of those budget imports off heritage of scotland if they're not bad. Has anyone ever bought anything for this company?

In the UK your best best is to check with ProNuptia and Moss Bros and see if they have any ex-rental jackets in your size in that price range. That way you can try them on to make sure they fit.
Many of the "inexpensive" Prince Charlie coatees advertised on line are very cheaply made in China, from inferior quality cloth. Fit is also an issue as many Chinese clothing factories are less than precise in meeting the specs laid down by their European customers.

World Wide Tux
I bought one of these and love it. The buttons are black, but you can always buy silver buttons. The company was great to work with and the price of the coat is $59.00. These coats were purchased from Ohio Tux, a rental shop. Highly recommended.

If you would consider an Argyle jacket and waistcoat.......;
After reading positive comments about ebay seller bobilishious(Bob Chalmers) in a recent thread, I ordered an Argyle and waistcoat, with shipping to US for approx $200, or about 125 pounds. I personally can't vouch for him, but others have

Ex-hire can be found on EBay for very low prices. I bought one a few weeks ago, and aside from a slight whiff of moth balls (no jokes please), it was in nearly perfect condition. (It was also of superior quality to most I've seen at various gatherings.) In particular, look for "Kaela" on EBay.

Size 38 US or EUR.
Eur runs smaller.
