My Great Race is about to begin.
Well, the Missus had a pregnancy check-up this morning and the Dr. said "Uh-Oh". The same thing is happening now as when our son was born. She's diallated before going into labor. What's this mean? As soon as she even suspects a labor pain, we'd better have a leg over the saddle. Hospital is five minutes away, good thing.
We know it's a litle girl (unless ultrasounds can be fooled) and we've chosen the name Alexandra Shea. Then we'll mess it up by adding our last name, Garlich. Good name, bad sound in a lasses monicker.

Hope all goes well. My wife was dilated for a week she says, before she had her kids (this was before me).
Little bros wife thought they had plenty of time, had to pull over and have their 4th one in a gas station parking lot, so you never now. Her name is Karly Storm, from it raining at the time.

Done! My daughter is here!
Well, after almost a month of being dialated and the odd contraction here and there, the good doctor decided it was time to quit fooling around and induce labor. I.V. drip at 5:00 a.m., Pitocin drip (drug that starts labor) at 7:30, water broke at 9:00, Alexandra Shea Garlich was born 10:10 a.m. Six Lb 12 Oz, 18 1/4 inches long. Both her and Mom are sleeping now, I'm in the lounge typing tp you fine folks.
YIPPEE!! Now my five your old son has to figure out what to do with a kid sister.

My daughter was the same way, I can't tell you how many early morning trips to the hospital! Braxton-Hicks. Finally, when her water really did break she was all taking a shower and doing her hair????
Good luck and congrats! Best Wishes

Thank you
Thanks to you all for the well wishes. She really is a cute little bugger. If I was savvy enough to condense some pics to viewable size I'd post one or two of the two leading ladies in my life now.
