Not sure as to his current wait time. Last year he was quick (about one week) to make mine. Try the email link on Bear kilts website. He also has a link to his facebook page on the Bear Kilt site. BTW I do like my bear kilt - great for kicking around, pubs, hiking etc....

Everything I've read about their quality is positive. How heavy would you say the fabric is? 11oz?

A little History.
Terry Vargas, AKA Bear, was the first kiltmaker to use the Polyester and Rayon blend Tartan fabrics from Marton Mills.
These fabrics are 12oz per fabric yard in weight and machine washable. Pleats pressed in these fabrics are virtually permanent and they remain almost wrinkle free. When treated at the weaving mill with a telflon coating they resist many stains.
He was also the first Kiltmaker to produce a garment that we now call the modern Kilt.
Terry was one of the first 5 members of X Marks.
For all of this we owe Bear a great debt.
We all wish he would post more often and tell us how he is doing.

It's good to see that Terry is getting things back under control now. And, Steve, I too wish he'd get back on the board more often. Your comment about Terry being one of the first 5 Xmarkers got me looking at "join dates", and I just realized that you(Steve) and I joined Xmarks on the same date.

Thanks for the help guys. I did get a hold of him and apparently he's a night owl like me. Got most of the details for my kilt hashed out early this morning.

This is not good. While I wish Bear no ill, and I loved the kilt he made for me, I personally know a couple of people on this board who sent in deposits a VERY long time ago, and have no merchandise to show for it. Now, I haven't checked with them in a while, it's possible that Bear returned the money. I hope so, I hope that a LOT.
