Just to remind you that on 3rd September 1939 Britain and France declared war on Germany. Germany invaded Poland on 1st September 1939.

It is very fitting indeed, as many Free Polish Forces trained in Scotland and fought alongside the Allies.

If any nation knows the price of freedom, it is Poland.

I think that France declared war after Britain if memory serves me right a day or two later?

Its just a shame that so many are still dying in just as senseless a fashion IMO.

France declared a deadline of 1700 hrs on 3rd September 1939 and if Germany did not meet France's requirements by that time, a state of war would exist between the two countries.Some will say that France actually declared war with Germany at 1545 hrs on that day.
