Kilted at the National Dog Show

Did anyone else see the National Dog Show (hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia) right after the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade? If so (or not) there was a kilted gentleman showing an Irish Terrier. I believe he was wearing the Irish National Tartan (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I was unable to post the video segment of the Terrier Group, however here is a link where you can watch this segment.

At 1:09 the kilt makes it's first (brief) appearance as the Terrier Group makes it's entrance into the show ring. Then again at 1:33 as they introduce each breed of Terrier, and finally at 2:55 when they focus on the Irish Terrier.

While I was unable to post the video, here is a photo of the Irish Terrier, and if you look to the left you will see a small part of his handlers kilt (oh if only he wore a different colour of hose other than white! ....it also looks like a kilt buckle was peeking out from under his waistcoat )

It's not Irish National. Looks like Marton Mill's County Limerick Crest tartan.

I see that the TSA is checking him out...is he getting on a plane?

I saw that fella just as I was leaving the house to go to Mom and Dad's and I just knew that it would come up here the next day. For the record, I guessed Irish National too.

I think the guy looked very well turned out. I liked the commment by the announcers which was almost an aside "the handler is kilted", then on with talking about the dog. As for the white hose, they don't look to bad in this instance and go quite well with the tartan. It was nice to see that he was wearing sensible shoes, and not ghille brouges.

Definitely not Irish National as it first might appear. I have one and, upon closer inspection, it's what Matt said!

I was going to guess Irish National as well.
The handler looked smashing. Too bad the dog didn't go forward, but the Irish Setter represented the Celtic world very well.

And a bonus Victoria, the Setter was from Washington state too!

Yes it was. Actually, when I am contracting at the WSCJTC, it is right across the road from where the dog is from. Practically a home boy!
