    Sgian Fionn Knife-Last of 2010?

I finished up one of the last runs of blades I had made. Not sure if there will be time to finish anymore with the holidays and family coming. Perhaps there might be a few more this year made but it is unlikely. Really pleased with this one. Carved red deer horn and steel pommel with mother of pearl top. Blade is a bit on the long side at 4 1/2" but I have stuck it in my hose top already and it fits real nice. Let me know what you think of the pommel since it is the first of this kind. Thanks

Great looking blade Taygrd How did the sheath turn out for your other armpit blade? Looking forward to seeing your sheath creation for this one as well

    Please wipe drool off blade

Wonderfully fine work, as always. Sometimes I look and say "I gotta get that",
sometimes I say "Maybe not for me, but some lucky son-of-a-gun is gonna get
a FINE knife". Always a treat just to be able to get a look.

One more thing the pommel is one of the coolest I have ever seen. I would love a sgian dubh with a handle like that.

The blade is a bit on the long side, but looks very well.

Sa-WEET!! and I like the slightly-longer blade, makes the proportion to the handle less like a "Scottish puukko".

Thanks fellas. I am going to make another textured sheath fr this one. I like that finish the best since it is a little for forgiving. GFR I have not make a sheath for that one yet. I need to forge the thisle clip for it and have not fired of the forge since last time, you will be the first to see it
Mr. Sageo I agree, a little longer blade gives it more of a streamline look and it still fits well in the hose. 4 1/2" is as long as I would go, if you need a longer one use a dirk I plan to make a few UK freindly next year (3 1/2").
The pommel is the first I ever put a wood grain on and it looks a lot better in person. I need to get some outside pics to do it justice. Thanks again gentlemen for your compliments.

    Completed

Well, I finished this one up this weekend with the sheath. Kind of made a sheath that was used in Japanese type knives and was wondering what the X Markers thought.
