Latest Scottish Adventure #4
Saw this Goldwing parked at the Wheel and thought about my next trip which will be on mine!
Stirling isn't far from Falkirk so had to drop by the Wallace Monument and get closer than I managed to do in February.
It's really impressive close up.
Next time I will climb it as it wasn't possible with Mum not being able to do it. I did get a fridge magnet though!
The Braveheart statue in the car park at the Monument. The face isn't quite Mel Gibson's, but that's who you still think of!
A plaque giving more detail on the sculpture, I liked the sculptor's hands figure! At this resolution the text is difficult to read so I can type out the text from the original size picture when I have a moment.
View from the hotel bedroom in Dundee - the Tay Road ridge at night.
A taster for the next posting - which was an emotional visit for me and full of memories.
More to come!

Mc Clef, Great Shots, thanks for sharing them.
was that statue done before the film? or is the concept taken fron the film.
How Historically accurate?

It was erected in 1997 and has caused some controversy as the following article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Monument shows.

Wow thanks so much Trefor, the one I could do without of course is the "Mel" in the carpark, but besides that I really love the pictures.
