    Those comments are fab, they do lift the spirits, but I've also noticed that the more comfortable you are in the kilt, sometimes the less other people notice. I've had people do a double take once it dawns on them that I'm not wearing pants after speaking with me at some length or transacting some sort of business.

    Yep, I've noticed that too. I played guitar at an open blues jam a few months ago - a friend (saxophone player) spoke with me for about 20 minutes before we went on stage, we played for about 30 minutes (he was right next to me), and after we had finished and I was breaking down my rig, he came back on stage and said "I didn't realize you were wearing a kilt!" I thought it was pretty funny.
