Has anyone had any dealings with them, or are we all speculating "what might happen"?

Mr Ahmed,
Thank you for keeping your cool throughout all this criticism. All the new vendors get a lot of scrutiny.
Cheers, Col Mac

I am not sure of the quality of Mr. Ahmed's merchandise and will therefor wait until someone actually takes a chance and buys something from him and posts a review (who knows, maybe it will be me). However, I recently puchased to SWK Standard kilts and both packing bags had tags on them that read "MADE IN PAKISTAN". I am quite happy with my kilts. The fact that Mr. Ahmed "borrowed" images from other more well-known vendors aside, he is trying to compete in an economy that is still seeing a tough time or have you all forgotten about the recession? I'll get of mynow.

Nor does it instill me with confidence either.

It must be that Queen's English we hear so much about. Colour instead of color, and neighbour instead of neighbor, and going to hospital, etc.

Having lived and worked in Japan for the past 6+ years, let me tell you that all things are relative, and relatively speaking (compared to Japan) the English on this website is impeccable! I have a fair bit of tolerance for websites in countries where English isn't necessarily lingua franca, and where they may not have the resources (financial and otherwise) to employ a proofreader/editor. Having done proofreading/editing work myself, I know it doesn't come cheap! (On the other hand, if a Pakistani website offered me some in-kind payment -- say barter some proofreading/editing for a nice kilt, well a-hey! I probably wouldn't turn it down...) :-) Anyway....
Every company is different, but so far, I've had a pretty good experience with Pakistan. I've had several kilts, a Prince Charlie, sporran, and (non-kilt-related) a set of prescription eyeglasses all come from Pakistan and I've been EXCEEDINGLY happy with the product, quality, and customer service in each circumstance. I have a review up somewhere on this site about my dealings with a Pakistani kilt seller.
I would be more than happy to give this company a try, but right now I'm being VERY specific in what my next kilt will be. I looked at their site and it looks like they have only a few stock tartans. I already have a Black Watch and I'm not interested in a Royal Stewart.... At the moment I'm looking for either a Thomson Camel or other earth-toned color tartan in a 5-yd wool (casual for summer). I would consider poly-v instead of wool but only if the price were right. But I don't think this company had anything that would fit that description....
Cheers,
Jim

So has anyone ordered from?
So has anyone ordered from Greathighlandwear? I am wondering if anyone has taken the plunge? If so has it arrived? How is the quality? I have no problem with them being in Pakistan. Most of the stuff I have ordered from other vendors have come from P'stan. I am taking a group to Scotland to tour distilleries and I am thinking of getting them all Kilts as part of the cost. If they are of decent quality I might buy them from them.
