About the pipe band, they had a pretty decent "tone" (as pipe band people call it), better than most firefighter bands I've heard, especially their drones.
About their uniform, it's the first time I've seen a firefighter band wearing red doublets. Usually they go with extremely dark blue, which not only matches their department uniforms but also is the same colour worn by the pipers of the Scots Guards, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, etc.
They need to get long horsehair sporrans, I think.
I notice that they're doing the common modern Pipe Band thing of wearing their kilts rather low. Pipe Bands at the highest level tend to wear their kit properly, but as you go down the Pipe Band foodchain the kilts tend to go downwards as well. Don't know why.
About NASCAR itself, de gustibus non est disputandum.
