Welsh Music

Today I found some Welsh folk music for Dydd Dewi Sant. Anybody heard of a band called Carreg Lafar? They're really really good. I love their use of the Welsh pipes (Bacbib and Pibgorn). Also, their voice harmonies are gorgeous. Really, extremely talented musicians.

I must confess that I hadn't heard of them until now.

I note they will be at the Cardiff Harbour Festival in August so hopefully will see them then.

Yeah, I found their website and bought a CD. I'd really like to see them live but they seem to be a fairly local group. Maybe when I'm in Ireland, I can visit Wales. Scratch that--I will visit Wales.
